Marbled Clay Pot

Shaped by hand, two types of clay are kneaded and fused together, creating a unique pattern and form through a process that feels like countless trials.

The soft lines conceal a flowing rhythm, where stillness and movement coexist. The pattern's outcome cannot be predicted before carving; it is only through repeated shaping and carving that its fantastical and immeasurable pattern emerges.

This piece aims to naturally incorporate art into everyday life, while valuing the delicate balance between artistry and craftsmanship.

Xiao inherits the spirit of his father, who ran a pottery studio in Taiwan for over 20 years, and is dedicated to creating works that blend design and creativity.

Through collaborations with young ceramic artists based in Yingge and experienced mold makers, he continues to promote the charm and potential of Taiwanese ceramics to a wider audience.
