Marbled Pot

Formed by hand, two types of clay are kneaded together, intertwining and fusing.
This process is like repeating thousands of trials, ultimately creating a unique pattern and form.

The soft lines conceal a flowing rhythm, where stillness and motion coexist.
The path of the patterns cannot be predicted before carving,
and it is only through repeated molding and carving that these fantastical and immeasurable patterns emerge.

Cherishing the delicate balance between artistic and artisanal qualities,

this work aims to naturally incorporate art into daily life.

From casual ceramics that are easy to pick up to sophisticated modern forms,

this pottery pot has a substantial presence and stability, resulting in a very well-balanced piece.

Xiao inherits the spirit of her father, who ran a pottery class in Taiwan for over 20 years,

and is dedicated to craftsmanship that blends design and creativity.

Through collaborations with young ceramists and experienced mold makers based in Yingge,

she continues to promote the charm and potential of Taiwanese ceramics to a wider audience.
