Marbled Clay Pot

Shaping by hand, two types of clay are kneaded together, intertwining and fusing.
The process is like undergoing thousands of trials, ultimately creating a unique pattern and form.

The soft lines conceal a flowing rhythm, where stillness and movement coexist.
It's impossible to predict the pattern's course before carving,
but only through repeated shaping and carving does its dreamlike and unfathomable pattern emerge.

Cherishing the delicate balance between artistry and craftsmanship,

this work aims to naturally incorporate art into everyday life.

From casual ceramics that are easy to handle to sophisticated, modern forms,

this ceramic pot possesses a substantial presence and stability, resulting in a very well-balanced piece.

Xiao inherits the spirit of his father, who ran a pottery studio in Taiwan for over 20 years,

and is dedicated to creation that fuses design and creativity.

Furthermore, through collaborations with young ceramic artists based in Yingge and experienced mold makers,

he continues his activities to convey the charm and potential of Taiwanese ceramics to a wider audience.
