Features (Characteristics of Hades)

• Plant shape: Low center of gravity, spreads radially, abundant leaves, often forming a "lotus" shape.
• Leaves: Very short, almost a regular pentagon shape. Not very thick, giving the impression of a blooming flower.
• Leaf color: Typically dark green, giving a majestic impression.
• Terminal spines:
  Completely black in the new leaf stage.
  After growth, all but the tips turn white.
  Similar to "Black and Blue", but highly likely to become spiral-shaped.
  Has a twisted shape like kudu horns.
• Marginal spines:
  Dark brown when new → Gradually changes to grayish white.
  Usually around 4 spines.
  Often forms "plate fangs" (where a single marginal spine forks into two).
  Variations in shape: flag-like, fork-like, irregular triangular (can resemble "White Whale" or "Scimitar").
• Growth rate: Moderate (not fast).
• Marketability: Low circulation due to limited propagation, resulting in a slightly higher price.
• Overall impression: Characterized by black terminal spines, low center of gravity, and numerous leaves. "Abuse cultivation" can make it appear more intimidating.

Cultivation Tips

• Light/Water Management: "Abuse cultivation" (lots of sun, less watering) emphasizes the black spines and intimidating appearance.
• Shaping: The variety of spines and leaves makes it suitable for practicing plant shaping.
• Propagation: Moderate growth, not suitable for mass propagation.
• Ornamental Value: To enjoy the color changes of the terminal and marginal spines, ensure direct sunlight and good air circulation.
• Collection Value: Although growth is slow, it possesses distinct and dignified characteristics, making it highly recommended for its rarity and aesthetic appeal.
