Why we recommend digitally printed fabric

デジタルプリント生地の色展開|Greentex

Digitally printed fabric from Taiwan is our main line. The reason is the environment.

Environmental rules are changing print factories

Printing fabric uses a great deal of water and produces wastewater. Governments around the world have started to act on water pollution and other environmental problems.

Taiwan moved early. As its rules tightened, fabric printing there has shifted from conventional methods to digital printing, which is kinder to the environment. Not many factories pass the government's review.

We are that factory's only contact for Japan.

Conventional printing in Japan is changing too

We have been trading fabric for several years. From what we hear in the trade, sales at conventional print factories in Japan are falling year after year.

Add the environmental pressure, and we expect Japanese factories to keep changing how they produce: relaxing minimum orders to win more work, for example, or lowering prices.

Buying the same prints on the same terms as today is not something to take for granted.

Some companies have already started to switch

Craft shops, fabric wholesalers, and apparel and goods brands are starting to buy digitally printed fabric to reduce their future risk.

They get more prints to choose from without holding large stock. The problems they have today are solved as they are.

If you plan to diversify your sourcing, earlier is easier. The factory gets busier toward the end of the year.
