How Original Print Fabric Is Made | From Artwork to Sample and Mass Production
Want your own design on fabric, or an original print for your brand? Here is how an original print fabric order with Greentex gets from first contact to your door, in six steps.
1. Enquiry and quote (free)
Tell us what you want to make, the design idea, quantity and preferred fabric through the fabric quote form or our contact page. Once quantity and fabric are set, we send an estimate. It is fine if the idea is still rough.
2. Artwork
Please prepare high-resolution artwork (around 300 dpi). We accept the main formats, including AI, PSD, PNG and JPG. We can help adjust the repeat of all-over patterns, so do not worry if you are unsure how the design should tile. Hand-drawn illustrations can be digitised too; just ask.
3. Mill sample
Our partner mill in Taiwan test-prints on the actual fabric. You see the real colour and print before production, so there are no surprises. If you go ahead with production, the sample is free.
4. Review and approval
Check the colour and scale on the sample. If you want changes, we adjust the file and can make another sample.
5. Production (from 100 m, about two months)
Production starts once you approve. Fully original prints start at 100 m and take about two months to arrive in Japan. Digital printing yields vary by about ±5 m, and we invoice the quantity actually delivered.
6. Inspection and delivery
Fabric is inspected to our own A-grade standard before delivery. After that, the same file can be reprinted (allow for slight colour differences between lots). Because we print by reactive dye inkjet directly onto the fabric, reprints keep the design exactly in place.

Common pairings
Double gauze for baby brand prints, oxford for school goods and bags, sheeting for pouches and corporate novelties, poplin (broadcloth) for shirts and dresses. If you are unsure which fabric, tell us what it is for.
Greentex is the official Japanese agent for original digital-print fabric from Taiwan, and our fabric is also sold through major craft store chains in Japan. You can start with an existing Taiwan print (from 10 m) to check the quality first.
FAQ
How is the price set?
By fabric, quantity and number of designs. With no screen costs, start-up cost stays low. Get an estimate through the quote form.
How long does it take?
For fully original prints, about two months from the start of production to arrival in Japan. If you have a fixed schedule, work back from it and contact us early.
100 m is a lot to start with. Can I try a small amount?
Existing Taiwan prints can be bought from 10 m. Many customers check the hand and print quality on an existing design before moving to an original.
