How Original Print Fabric Is Made | From Artwork to Sample and Mass Production
“I want to turn my design into fabric,” “I want to make an original pattern for my brand”—this article explains, in six steps, how your original print fabric is made and delivered when you order from Greentex. Even first-timers will get the full picture.
STEP 1 | Consultation & Quote (free)
Tell us what you want to make, your pattern idea, quantity, and preferred base via our fabric quote form or contact desk. Once quantity and base are set, we will provide a rough estimate. Inquiries at the “still just an idea” stage are welcome too.
STEP 2 | Submitting Data
Please prepare high-resolution design data (300dpi as a guide). We support major formats such as AI, PSD, PNG, and JPG. We can help with repeat (pattern-connection) adjustment for continuous patterns, so do not worry if you are unsure how patterns tile. We also welcome inquiries about converting hand-drawn illustrations into data.
STEP 3 | Mill Sample
We test-print on the actual fabric at our partner mill in Taiwan. Because you confirm how the color and pattern turn out on a real sample before moving to production, we prevent the “it wasn’t what I imagined” problem. When you proceed to production, the sample fee is free.
STEP 4 | Review & Approval
Check the color tone and pattern scale on the sample you receive. If changes are needed, we adjust the data and can re-sample. We move on only after you are satisfied.
STEP 5 | Production (from 100m, about 2 months)
Production begins after approval. Fully original runs are from 100m, arriving in Japan in about 2 months as a guide. Due to the nature of digital printing, the finished quantity may vary by about ±5m, and we settle by the actual delivered quantity.
STEP 6 | Inspection & Delivery
We deliver after our in-house A-grade inspection. You can then reproduce with the same data on repeat orders (please allow slight color variation between lots). Because it is reactive-dye inkjet direct printing, the pattern stays consistent on reruns.

Popular combinations
Double gauze × original patterns for baby brands, oxford × school and nursery goods and bags, sheeting × pouches and corporate novelties, poplin (broadcloth) × shirts and dresses. If you are unsure which base to choose, tell us the intended use and we will advise.
Greentex original printing (OEM/custom)
Greentex is the official Japanese distributor of original Taiwanese digital print fabric. With an inspection system meeting Japanese quality standards, we have a track record of sales at major Japanese craft-store chains. We also recommend first trying the fabric quality with existing Taiwanese patterns (from 10m).

FAQ (Original Printing)
Q1. How is the price decided?
It is determined by base, quantity, and the number of patterns. With no plate fees, initial costs stay low—a digital-printing advantage. Check a rough estimate from our quote form.
Q2. How long does it take?
Including sample production, a fully original run takes about 2 months from the start of production to arrival in Japan. If you have a fixed schedule, work back from it and consult us.
Q3. 100m at once feels risky. Can I try a small amount?
Existing Taiwanese patterns can be bought from 10m. Many customers first check the hand-feel and print quality with existing patterns before moving to original production.
Q4. Who owns the rights to a submitted design?
The copyright of a design you create remains with you (or the rights holder). Please refrain from submitting designs that infringe third-party rights.
